Hetalia: World Series 2 - Season Four (Limited Edition)

Arrived A Week After I Ordered, Via International Shipping
I live in New Zealand and I'm a huge otaku for anime. I love many different anime titles, Hetalia being among them, and I couldn't wait to get Season 4 to add to my collection. Trouble was when Season 4 came out, it hadn't even arrived in NZ yet and probably wouldn't for another few months or so. So I ordered the Limited Edition on Amazon.
I had never used amazon before so I was a little worried. I had a multi region DVD player but I still wondered if it would play region 1. Nevertheless the estimated arrival date for the DVD was August 22nd so I waited patiently.
To my surprise a week after I ordered the package had already arrived! It was packed well and in superb condition. The DVD played in my player, and it had everything advertised; the banner, the DVD etc etc. Thank you, Amazon, for the quick shipping and the great packaging!
Now onto the review of 'Hetalia' itself. Season 4 is one of the more crazier seasons, so you know you're in for a wild, hilarious ride...

So much politically incorrect fun
This show is so awkward and ridiculous... I love it! And this is one of the best seasons yet! I love England getting captured. Best segment ever!

Squee
I just got the package today and it's great. The extra CD has a compilation of Chibitalia and America's Storage Cleaning. They made it flow very well and cut out a lot of the unnecessary stuff. That made me very happy :). I find that this season is the best season yet. They go more into minor characters of Hetalia like Poland, Lithuania, Prussia, Hungary, and the Nordics. I love it!~ Of course it comes with the bandanna too which is very cute.

Nova: Why Ships Sink

This show focuses mostly on the Titanic and the recent Costa Concordia tragedies
I've been on quite a few cruises and I'm not sure I'd want to see the episode of the PBS show NOVA just before I left on vacation. But, as cruise ships keep getting larger and larger and, more importantly, taller and taller, the safety of cruising is an issue. In reality cruising may be the safest way to travel if you "read between the lines" while watching this 50-minute documentary.

The majority of the show deals with two cruise ship disasters that occurred exactly 100 years apart. In 1912 the Titanic sank and there were no survivors. In early January 2012 the Costa Concordia also hit a rock but all except for 38 passengers survived. It's a tragedy that the 38 lost their lives - primarily due to the ship's captain who delayed informing passengers for a full hour and then abandoned the ship himself. - but there were 4.200 passengers and crew on board.

There are no archival films of the Titanic disaster so NOVA uses recreations and photos. Since the Concordia got...

Fascinating
Not a video for those who like to cruise without worry, but definitely for those who want to know the risks of the new ships and how previous ships sunk. Scientific, not gruesome. VERY well done

Good Information About Cruising !!
My wife and I have cruised the world and will continue to enjoy cruising as long as we can. This movie has several key bits of information that every cruiser should see. We did benefit by watching this DVD. I will not spoil the content by revealing the details, but if you are thinking about a cruise, this DVD has key information that they do not tell you aboard ship.

Dynasty: Season Six, Vol. 2

"The Conclusion to Season 6"
This pack of episodes from "Dynasty-Season 6" includes the last 15 shows from 1985-1986. The series finished a healthy #7 in the all-important Nielsens and is regarded by many as the last great season of "Dynasty".

In these last episodes Alexis flies to Austalia to track down Blake's brother Ben to destroy her former husband and Ben is all too happy to do it, Claudia goes insane again and finds herself trapped in a fire, Dominique falls in love, Alexis and Krystle have another catfight rolling down a hill with Alexis snarling, "Look what you've done to this outfit you stupid bitch!!!!", and Blake trying to choke the life out of Alexis when she told him on top of the Carrington stairs, "Take all this junk and your blond tramp and get the hell out of my home", when she ruined him financially.

The last episodes along with their airdates are:

1. "The Accident", Jan. 29, 1986
2. "Souvenirs", Feb. 5, 1986
3. "The Divorce", Feb. 12, 1986
4...

Final Thought
DYNASTY had its time and place. It was on top for a while. My thoughts always go back to the image of Blake Carrington. That is an indelible image. Final thoughts of a Dynasty.

I feel ripped off just thinking about buying this!
I LOVE this show and particularly this season, so I won't add/duplicate commentary on it. What I hate is the rip-off of having to pay double to get a complete season to satisfy greed by its distributer- I hope someone buys the rights to this soon and sells it a complete season at a time (like Dallas) at a reasonable price.

Curtain Call [HD]

A love/ hate relationship.
Having a family member who is currently auditioning for different ballet companies made this series especially relevant. It is an inside look at Ballet West in Salt Lake City, Utah. In my title I said this was a love/hate relationship. I loved the actual dancing but really, six episodes dealing with Allison & Ron's co-dependent and basically unhealthy relationship? By the end of the series I was totally sick of both of them. But if you're a ballet fanatic like I am, it was an interesting show & I learned quite a bit about the real world of ballet as well. If only it wasn't for all the ridiculous teenage emo I would have given this more stars.

Seriously?
I would have enjoyed this more if there were less ridiculous drama and more about their hard work dancing. Allison and Ronnie in particular were difficult to watch, in fact I skipped past some of their parts. Who really cares about Allison leading on some poor guy who can't understand that she is friend zoning him for forever but wants him around when she needs someone? To boot she's jealous and nasty to anyone who is better than her.

Great Ballet Show
The only reason this is 4 stars and not 5 is because the soap opera element of the personal relationships distracts from the ballet insider's view at times. Otherwise, great show!

Skater Who Cried Wolf/Good Dog, Bad Dog Academy

Very Good
Personally, I think that "Wild Grinders" is basically an improvement over the kind of programming that is available these days. Sometimes, true, gags relating to flatulence are recurring, though it basically is a nice series. Some episodes are better than others, but the ones that are better can be quite entertaining.
