Calculus 1: Extra Practice with Integrals - Volume 1 - 5 Hour Course!

Great supplement for integrals
Anyone who has taken calculus can tell you that doing integration is the hardest part of the first-year calc sequence. And, if you do not get the concept early it will carry over into all the other courses where you need to be able to do integrals. The farther along you get, the more you are going to be expected to do them quickly.

This set really enforces the basic integration techniques. It starts out introducing the concepts and the use of rectangles to approximate the area under the curve. Jason does not spend time on things like Simpson's Rule, Euler's Method and the Midpoint Rule, which you will use in class when you first start learning integrals. So, as I have stated in other reviews of Jason's products do NOT rely on this as a substitute for class and homework. It is a supplement for a reason.

The big concepts Jason touches on in this volume are integrating polynomials, exponential, logarithms and trig functions. Then he spends a ton of time on...

A+
I cannot say enough about this and all the other math DVD's this company offers. No matter how much I read and studied my textbook, I was still having trouble with calculus so I desperately bought the video to see if it would help. What I realized is that I needed to be able to see the process over and over until I felt I really understood it. With a video, it is easy to replay the segment as many times as you need. Often, taking a derivative is not even the real problem; rather it is simplifying the answer down to the final form that I needed more help with and this DVD really helped with that. Jason offers numerous samples from the various ways that you need to take a derivative so that you can easily see the process and apply it to your own homework. I also ordered the higher level DVD's to get through Calc II. Honestly, I did not get an A, but I don't think I would have passed without the additional help these DVD's provided.

Very Helpful
This guy is good. Helped me with Calculus. I have about 4 of his dvds and they helped me pass calculus.
