I Feel Awful
I've watched every episode of Midsomer Murders several times over. I liked this one as well, but not as much, and not just because Tom Barnaby leaves the series. His retirement seemed tacked on at the end. He just didn't seem to have enough motivation to take such a huge step. It seemed phony, done in a hurry. I think the writers should have showd us more of TB's internal process -- maybe even over two episodes. I found myself quite unsatisfied with the episode. Still, it's Midsomer after all, so 3 stars. I feel doubly awful -- first because of the poorly constructed episode, and second because I have to dock my favorite series two stars.

I love this series...
I have enjoyed all these shows so much. I was worried with the cast change, but found the series just as charming and entertaining.
I just love it!
