useful receipes and product evaluations
I like the simplified receipes and cooking tips that produce good food. The explanation of the science behind certain processes or the illustrations of where certain cuts of meat come from add a kind of "Alton Brown" to the program. The product evaluations are interesting. I can do without the quirky costumes though!

Watch it for the tips
I started watching this to figure out what I was doing wrong with pork chops. I was cooking them too long and using stuff that dries them out.I learned all kinds of tips to make my food better from this shows no - nonsense advice. Cook the pumpkin and let it cool before baking it into a bread or pie to get rid of the tinny taste. The right steps to keep a turkey breast nice and juicy on inside and crispy skin on the outside. when making a cheesecake, measure the gelatin so your dessert is not too jiggly or soggy. I love they show you what cuts of meat to buy and what kind of breads to buy and how it should look. Also I wish they would show what to do if you don't have a bunch of kitchen gadgets and you can't buy them. I do think they use too many ingredients sometimes and some people might find chris annoying. My mother and other people find him smug and prickly. Maybe he is in real life, I don't know. All I know is he and the ladies show me how to make pies that glisten on the outside...
