Series is Nar. by Sir David Attenborough!
*4.5/5 Stars*
I am a *HUGE* nature doc fan and Attenborough-ophile. I watch pretty much anything and everything I can find on natural subjects. However, I don't much care for Animal planet or some Nat Geo T.V. dumbed down series.
This is a short series on the wildlife of India covering mostly Elephants, Tigers and Lions, oh my. I like the 3rd episode the best as I love deserts and desert flora and fauna.
Sadly, this series does not cover lesser known and fascinating animals that are rarely documented. It mostly covers highly publicized animals like Lions and Tigers, which, although important to document and rare in the wild, are seemingly over represented in the world of Nature Docs. I wish they had filmed a greater variety of species in this series.
If you liked this subject and love nature docs, I recommend the more in depth "BBC Wild India" and their other "Wild" series, such as South...
Awesome pictures of tigers, rhinos and lions!
In a country filled with cultural, economic, geographic diversity it is only befitting that the diversity is mirrored in its wildlife too. Perhaps the only country home to both the lion and the tiger, the sheer variety of wildlife is pure bliss for a wildlife lover and this documentary highlights some of the special moments offering a glimpse into the lives of these Indian beasts. The highlight for me though was the tiger and its beautiful cubs.
This documentary made me realise there is so much for us human beings to learn from the animals. Though the video quality was not quite HD as promised, I still loved the content.
