At Last - The Stingers Hit Town!
I must confess I am that rarity - a confirmed fan of Jem and the Holograms who arrived too late to have seen them 25+ years ago on TV; I have also studiously avoided seeing the old episodes online. So this is a set I have literally been waiting 15 years to see! And I must say, despite any criticisms to the contrary, the wait has been worth it for this two-disc set. Any lingering anger or disappointment should be directed at Rhino, producers of the previous Jem DVDs, for their failure to complete this wonderful series. They stopped at mid-point of what SHOUT! Factory is calling the Second and Third Seasons, making it necessary to get them both to truly complete all 65 episodes that make up Jem. ( If for some strange reason anyone has NONE of the previous versions of Jem on DVD and is considering this title, it would behoove them to go ahead and instead invest in Jem and the Holograms: The Truly Outrageous Complete...
Acceptable sound and picture quality
This is the Shout DVD transfer, and not the better quality Rhino transfer. After reading so many bad things about how lousy the picture quality was on the Shout version of the complete series; I wanted to comment the picture quality and sound quality are acceptable. I did not want to duplicate the episodes from the Rhino version I already owned. I would have felt more sympathetic towards Shout if they released the third season earlier instead trying to dupe people into duplicating their Rhino Version episodes. I don't see any other reviews of this DVD yet, so I wanted to post that you can buy this set with confidence to complete your set if you have the Rhino version. If you don't have the Rhino version you need to buy the complete Shout Jem version if you want the whole series, as the Rhino version is out of print and now very expensive.

I really like Jem and the holograms season 3 and I have the complete set and I will keep it for sure
