Boring and not what I expected
Not a lot of details about Iron Maiden. Mostly talked about British rock music. Was a gift to my husband who is a huge Maiden fan and he was very disappointed. Which made me disappointed that I spent $25 bucks on this when I could have bought him an Iron Maiden tshirt instead.
Lively 2DVD Account Of Maiden at a Good Price
I'm not a huge metal fan - I usually like my Rock a little more melodic - but I make an exception for Maiden being such a legendary British act and the performers and composers of such great songs and so purchased this as I only have a couple of live DVDs and fancied something documentary wise to fill in any gaps in my knowledge ( being a lazy type I can rarely be bothered to sit and read long biographies, usually by know-all journalists).
This set has 2 DVDs the first tells the story of Maidens first 25 years in the business but even better is the second DVD which tells the story of the whole NWOBHM and of course Maiden's enormous role in developing the style into a new form of British metal which still resonates
loudly today.
A very decent set, a great watch and a very good price. It's a no-brainer...
Brilliant account of Iron Maiden
Clocking in at a little under four hours, The Future Has Come To Pass certainly isn't for the fainthearted. Those who do persevere though are rewarded with a quite brilliant account of Iron Maiden's career as this set journeys through the band's successes and excesses and a whole lot more besides. Great care has obviously been taken to produce a set that honours the legacy of Maiden whilst also digging far deeper than any previous docs I've seen, throwing up a whole treasure trove of tales that I'd never heard before.
