Great show
I watch this with my two year old daughter. I participate along with her. I find that this show is a good supplement to use when teaching early reading skills. My daughter tells me, all the time, that she want to have the power to read. (which is adorable) She also has mastered letter recognition and knows the sounds that most of the letters represent. This show reinforces her letter recognition. It is also a good way to introduce new concepts. For example when wonder red does her rhyming thing I pay attention to which words she rhymes. Then later in the day I will bring up the rhyming words to my daughter. (What rhymes with bat? ) She thinks rhyming is funny, and I try to sing the song that wonder red sang in the show.The apps that go with this show are also worth getting. This show is fun to watch and extremely educational, especial if you watch it with your children.

My daughter loves it. I love that it's educational and fun for her to keep her interest. I think its a great way to teach kids about reading.

Riddler's Revenge

Getting better...
Season 4 finds THE BATMAN at its most accessible and fan friendly. Lots of folks (and I was one of 'em) weren't too enthused with this younger Dark Knight version when he first came out in 2004. So, with The Batman - The Complete First Season (DC Comics Kids Collection) having left me and others in a lukewarm and sulky state, I never thought the series would last to a fourth season, let alone a 5th, which is just around the corner. But, perhaps because of the dearth of animated superhero stuff on TV - what with only the occasional animated film released by Marvel and DC, leaving us with LEGION OF SUPERHEROES (enjoyable) and FANTASTIC FOUR (kinda shady) as the other viewing options - well, I've started watching THE BATMAN more and more.

There's been a decided upgrading in quality to the episodes. Also, the additions of Batgirl (debuted in Season 3 and now officially in the Bat family) and of Robin...

The Batman's animated evolution continues..in the right direction
Like so many others who watched this show intially, I was not impressed. One reason was that I had a problem with the way some of Batman's rogues gallery were drawn or made over(especially The Joker and Bane). The one redeeming makeover was The Penguin. I really liked how he was portrayed to be just as formidible as he was vain. But overall it was a show that I would occasionally watch. But as the second and third seasons premiered and progressed, I was pleasantly surprised. But it was Season Four, where everything shifted into fifth gear.

The make or break move for this show was how they were going to implement Robin into this show after it was announced that he
would be introduced in season four. I must say that Robin's introduction exceeded my expectations. I thought that The Boy Wonder would have a 2 part episode that would provide his origin and drag out over 67 yrs of history. Not so. The opening episode "A Matter of Family" not only summed up everything in 30...

It just keeps getting better
OK, so unlike several others here, I liked THE BATMAN from the beginning. Even so, I have to say that I think it's gotten even better over the years. As of this writing, I haven't seen any of season 5 (I prefer to wait for the DVD's so I can get 'em all at once), but season 4 is by far the best season yet.

Hardcore Batfans have traditionally been slow to warm-up to the "sidekick" characters of Robin and Batgirl. And I'll admit I was initally reluctant to embrace either of them in ANY incarnation of Batman. So imagine my surprise when, after only 3 or 4 episodes, I found that the interplay between Batgirl and the Boy Wonder is among my favorites things about this season. They're really just kids, after all, and their good-natured sibling rivalry is handled with wit and intelligence.

There's not really a bad episode in the bunch, but I'll mention a few favorites: "Strange New World" calls to mind the excellent feature-length...

Exes and Oh-No's!

Trent Hauser says "Looks like late night just got a little more - hilarious." YEEEEEAAHH!
Season One of NTSF SD SUV is another short-format show airing late nights on Adult Swim, and it certainly lives up to the quality of other original programming on the network in similar time slots.

Paul Scheer stars as Trent Hauser, an aviator-wearing one-liner and pun machine, taking off on one of the shows favorite targets, CSI. NTSF aims to parody the crime genre that seems to be always so successful on network television, and it does lampoon it very well. The show features absurdly complicated evil schemes, insane evil-doers with convoluted plots, vanity and jealousy-ridden characters, all of which combine for a hilarious 11 minutes of goodness.

If you're a fan of Adult Swim and their live action comedy, then you can't miss this show.

I like things, so should you
This is a thing, and it is a Good Thing, which I suggest you watch and enjoy. Huzzah! Namaste. Be well.

Absolutely hilarious.
This has got to be the funniest live action series to be birthed from Adult Swim/ Cartoon Network. Keep in mind, Garth Marenghi's Dark Place was originally a BBC baby. Awesome cameos abound, Paul Scheer front & center, perfect timing, & excellent writing. This series is flawless. Looks great in HD.

Brendan Smalls is a comedic and incredibly talented musical genius and can take my money anytime! MUCH RESPECT! enough said.

This ams funny ands epic
First off I wasn't sure how good this season was going to be, since I wasn't too impressed with season 3. Glad I got it anyways. I was actually laughing alot through this season. On the serious side of Detklok they finally put more storyline to Mr. Salacia (however you spell it) and Falconback as well. There were some repetitious jokes and scenes and that's why the 4 stars, as well as seeming a little short. Overall definitely worth buying.

Warning: Not for the un-brutal
This is the best season of the show yet. The characters get some much needed development and everyone gets at least one WOW episode dedicated to themselves. I'm a little pissed that we now have to wait for season 5.

Henry Rollins Raw
Bought this for my gf since she's a huge Henry Rollins fan. Very interesting topics. Wish there were more episodes. My favorite was the snake handlers. Not for the weak of stomach.

Why does the player stop when multitasking
Why does the player stop when trying to do other things on Amazon? Also, why is the purchase "stored to the Amazon download library"? I wanted these on my desktop to view without having to be logged onto the internet. If I bought it, shouldn't the file be downloaded to my macbook?

Henry Rollins + Nat Geo = AWESOME
Awesome show! Huge fan of Henry Rollins and Nat Geo - Best of both world! I would highly recommend and hope they bring it back for a second season. The Snakes Underworld episode is also worth checking out.

Stars & Gardens

This is a 2-DVD set, not a CD
As I write this, "Stars and Gardens" is mistakenly listed as an audio CD. This is actually a 2-DVD set that contains a great 2003 live show by Echolyn. The set list includes the entire album-length "Mei" performed with 6 additional musicians, a new acoustic arrangement of "Never the Same", and great tracks like "Texas Dust", "The Cheese Stands Alone", and "1729 Broadway". To my ears, "Mei" and "Cowboy Poems Free" are the best prog-rock albums ANYONE has made since 1980, so with the strong live performance this DVD is a must-have...musically. The visuals are another story. The video production is amateurish, with poorly framed shots, aimless jump cuts, plenty of high school A-V gimmicks like high contrast, and non sequitur snippets of mostly-bad film clips that look like REM's earliest videos. For example, in the middle of "A Little Nonsense" a home movie of a skydiving trip suddenly cuts in. Based on the credits, it looks like guitarist Brett Kull had as much of a hand in the editing...

The 15th Anniversary for one of my favourite bands!!
This is the 15th Anniversary for one of my favourite bands (not only within a collection of progressive music!!), which deserve the best recognition above all if you consider their effort to produce by themselves such a stunning live at Sellersville Theatre (Pennsylvania), dated 25 May 2003. Tom Hyatt has joined together the old members of the band here,including eleven titles within around a couple of hours, with four songs from "As the World", other four tracks from "Cowboy poems free", without forgetting one song for each of the remaining three albums (even though "Mei" alone-the recent suite- is 40 minutes long!!), for me essential. Ok- you see- it's a sort of testament live on stage for these clever boys from West point, and probably it's the last occasion to see them played live some great tunes such as "The cheese stands alone", "A little nonsense" or "As the World"...nevertheless their 2nd DVD includes an important variety from their Archive, helped by remarkable films from...

5 Stars for the Garden!
This is my favorite American Prog Rock band. I have followed their career since the 90's. This 2 DVD contains a amazing concert in a small club filmed with a lot of close-up of the very talented musicians. This is symphonic rock at his best with jazz influence and a good dose of Gentle Giant. Their music brings many tempo changes alternating quiet passages and heavy ones with such talents. The highlight of the DVD is their 50 minutes Epic "Mei" that takes you on a journey through different atmospheres, with all the ingredients that makes this band unique. Great musicianship, very good vocals, and always interesting compositions, Echolyn deliver a nice performance here.

The picture quality is enjoyable with some special effects, although is not in 16:9 format. The stereo sound is good. There is a second DVD with interviews, behind the scenes that let you know the band's history.

She Gets My Goat [HD]

Amazing look at animal hoarding
These were some amazing videos to watch. Hard to imagine that there are people like that who can't stop with just a few animals. It's also sad to see when they have to come to terms with giving up so many. I found it very enlightening and great to know there is hope for someone like this. They can have a normal life again. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to watch something different than the normal comedy or drama, but tears at the heart and then you get to see the end result of someone getting out from under the weight of all the animals aqnd move on to have a happier life.

Do people really live like that!
These are good shows, but it is hard for me to believe people live like that! I cannot figure out how they can get that bad. I guess you have to see it to believe it.
